D.Y. Patil College of Engineering & Technology in Kasaba Bawada, Kolhapur operates as a self-financing autonomous institution. Founded in 1984 under Padmashree Dr. D.Y. Patil's leadership, the college has maintained operations for over four decades, providing technical education to thousands of students.
The institution holds Autonomous status granted by UGC (New Delhi) and Shivaji University in 2020, AICTE approval, Government of Maharashtra recognition, and NAAC accreditation with "A" grade (CGPA 3.08). Three undergraduate programs have received NBA re-accreditation through 2025.
